I love staying at Hilton's because of their Peter Thomas Roth amenities. Our housekeeper was nice enough to give me a few extra. It's the little luxuries that make big differences in hotel chains, for me.
My favorite thing about this hotel was its pool deck. Before catching our flight home, I was able to layout and soak up last minute sun, spend time in the jacuzzi while the kids swam in the pool.
Beds were comfortable, rooms were clean, floor to ceiling windows were great for the kids to watch the airplanes coming and going. Ask for a corner room so that you have more windows. I do expect a nicer bathroom then what they had. Nothing wrong with it, just old.
We stayed here during a Ballroom Dancing performance/tournament of some sort. The girls loved seeing all the dancers dressed to the nines with lots of fancy clothes and makeup.
Since we had a late flight, we were able to get a late checkout until 6pm for $50. Until 4pm was $25.
This Hilton was a block away from the car rental agencies. We found it very convenient. We dropped our car off at the rental agency, then took their shuttle to LAX and was there within 35 minutes of leaving the Hilton.
We did not try any of the onsite food or drink, but we did LOVE a small restaurant near the hotel- Tony's Italian Deli. It was an Italian deli with amazing prices. I got Chicken Parmigiana on a bed of spaghetti and a half loaf of garlic bread and drink for like $7. Amazing. The husband and I were just talking today about what to do on our 3 hour layover at LAX next month and I suggested eating here!
